Carrying out drilling works of over 100,000 m a year to locate new mineral ores and improve current ones, Cengiz Holding also plans to purchase mines and enter into partnerships abroad. Cengiz Holding’s mining and metallurgy operations continue at the copper, aluminum, antimony and phosphate rock sites. The operations started with the acquisition of Eti Bakır Küre Plant and Eti Bakır Samsun Plant in 2004 within the scope of privatization.

In 2005, acquisition of Eti Alüminyum Plant within the scope of privatization increased the volume of the mining operations. The acquisition of Murgul Copper Plant in 2006 and Halıköy Antimony Plant in 2007 followed. Cengiz Holding acquired Eti Bakır Mazıdağı Plant in 2013 to extend its operations to production of phosphate and fertilizers. Mining and metallurgy operations of the Holding are increasing pace.



The Eti Alüminyum A.Ş. Plant is one of the few integrated facilities in the world capable of complete production, from mining to final product, and its wide range of products, from window frames to aircraft, find their way into many locations. 82,000 tons, 13.5 percent of Turkey’s annual requirement, is provided by Eti Alüminyum A.Ş. Seydişehir Integrated Plant.



Eti Bakır A.Ş. continues to invest to ensure a more efficient production process. As of the end of 2013, 546,400 meters of drilling was completed and R&D investments reached USD 50 million. With other investments, total amount reached USD 60 million.
