Cengiz Holding is also active in the service industry with four significant projects assigned through the Build-Operate-Transfer business model. A Cengiz Holding affiliate was granted with 25-year operating rights of Istanbul’s third airport which will make the city world’s largest transfer hub. The Holding was also granted with the operating license of Ankara High-Speed Railway Terminal for 19 years and 7 months, 9 years and 6 months for Kuzey Marmara Highway Kurtköy Akyazı Section and 8 years and 6 months for Kuzey Marmara Highway Kınalı Odayeri Section.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Istanbul’s New Airport

Istanbul’s third airport, where 80,000 people will be employed, will be operated for a period of 25 years. The facility will consist of 4 terminals, 165 passenger bridges, rail systems, VIP lounge, cargo and general aviation terminals, a state guest house, indoor and outdoor parking lots with a 70,000-vehicle capacity, aviation health center, business centers and hotels. With a passenger capacity of 200 million, Istanbul’s third airport will be world’s largest transfer hub and its 25-year operation is carried out by the organization to which Cengiz Construction is also a partner.

Ankara High-Speed Railway Terminal

Through the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) business model, Cengiz Holding undertook construction of the Ankara High-Speed Railway Terminal and the operating license for 19 years and 7 months. The project was built on a space of 21,600 square meters on Celal Bayar Avenue to serve 36 million people every year. It is in service since October 29, 2016. At the terminal, which includes a 5-star hotel, restaurants, cafes and an indoor car park with a 3000-vehicle capacity, the platforms and ticket desks are located under the ground floor. It is anticipated that the Ankara Speed-Railway Terminal, built by a Cengiz Holding partnership, will create 300 jobs. Ankara High-speed Railway Terminal and Public Center will be connected to Bursa, Izmir and Sivas high-speed railway lines. In the year to come; Antalya, Adana, Erzincan and Kars lines will be added. Ankara High-speed Railway Terminal and Public Center will be visited by 120,000 people every day and the number will double with the addition of all planned lines.

Kuzey Marmara Highway

The Asian parts of the North Marmara Motorway Project starts in Kurnaköy (south-southeast of Paşaköy Junction) in Pendik district of Istanbul and ends at Akyazı TEM Junction in Akyazı district of Sakarya. The project consists of 122 km main road, 88 km connection road and 48 km crossroads, the European parts of the Northern Marmara Motorway Project starts at the Kınalı junction in the Alipaşa district of the Silivri district and ends in the Odayeri district of Eyüp where the existing connection roads (Section 3) of the Third Bosphorus Bridge begin. The project consists of 71 km Main Road, 10 km Connection Road and 91 km Crossroads. Cengiz İnşaat, which is the partner of the BOT model project, will operate the project for 9 years and 6 months in the Asian part and 8 years and 6 months in the European part.
