A Cengiz Holding affiliate was granted with 25-year operating rights of Istanbul’s third airport which will make the city world’s largest transfer hub. The Holding was also granted with the operating license of Ankara High-Speed Railway Terminal for 19 years and 7 months.

Istanbul’s New Airport

Istanbul’s third airport, which will create 80,000 jobs, will cost EUR 10.247 billion, as well as a fee of EUR 22.152 billion for the 25-year operating license. The facility will consist of 4 terminals, 165 passenger bridges, rail systems, VIP lounge, cargo and general aviation terminals, a state guest house, indoor and outdoor parking lots with a 70,000-vehicle capacity, aviation health center, business centers and hotels. With a passenger capacity of 200 million, Istanbul’s third airport will be world’s largest transfer hub and it will be operated by a partner company of Cengiz Holding for 25 years.

Ankara High-Speed Railway Terminal

Through the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) business model, Cengiz Holding undertook construction of the Ankara High-Speed Railway Terminal and the operating license for 19 years and 7 months. The project was built on a space of 21,600 square meters on Celal Bayar Avenue to serve 36 million people every year. It is in service since October 29, 2016. At the terminal, which includes a 5-star hotel, restaurants, cafes and an indoor car park with a 3000-vehicle capacity, the platforms and ticket desks are located under the ground floor. It is anticipated that the Ankara Speed-Railway Terminal, built by a Cengiz Holding partnership, will create 300 jobs. Ankara High-speed Railway Terminal and Public Center will be connected to Bursa, Izmir and Sivas high-speed railway lines. In the year to come; Antalya, Adana, Erzincan and Kars lines will be added. Ankara High-speed Railway Terminal and Public Center will be visited by 120,000 people every day and the number will double with the addition of all planned lines.
